Cheras is one of the largest residential corridors in Kuala Lumpur, stretching from Pudu through Taman Connaught and Taman Midah out to Sungai Long. Each section has its own typical wall-leak pattern. The older Cheras terrace clusters (Taman Bukit Cheras, Taman Midah) are 40-plus-year single-leaf brick with no DPC, so we see rising damp and external driving-rain ingress in equal volume. The mid-1990s condo stock around Cheras Sentral has different problems — typically construction-joint leaks at floor-to-wall junctions and inter-unit party-wall seepage where the upstairs bathroom waterproofing has failed. The newer towers around EkoCheras and Sungai Long are mostly under 15 years old and the wall leaks here tend to cluster around the original tile-grouted bathroom edges and around AC condensate trays whose drainage has blocked.
